N.L. RCMP said they arrested a man who meant to “stop the election” after he led them on a high-speed chase to the Deer Lake office of a political candidate, where they found a “large quantity” of knives in his truck. Andrew Furey’s campaign team has said police told them the Liberal leader was the likely target.
