Today, Paul Lefebvre, Member of Parliament for Sudbury, on behalf of the Honourable Catherine McKenna, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities; the Honourable Victor Fedeli, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation, and Trade, and Member of Provincial Parliament for Nipissing, on behalf of the Honourable Kinga Surma, Ontario’s Minister of Infrastructure; and Helen Francis, President and CEO of the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario, announced joint funding for six community and recreation infrastructure projects in Central and Northern Ontario.

Twelve applications have received approval for funding under the British Columbia Salmon Restoration and Innovation Fund (BCSRIF), totaling approximately $10.23 million.

Supporting British Columbia’s fish and seafood sector is a priority for both the Government of Canada and the Government of British Columbia (BC).
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) – Southern Ontario Region and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) – Border Integrity Team are committed to safeguarding our country and keeping contraband goods, such as narcotics, from reaching our communities.
The Government of Canada is investing more than $12.7 million in 4 projects under the Green Infrastructure Stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program. The Government of Saskatchewan is contributing over $10.8 million. Contributions by recipients toward their respective projects are $7.7 million. In total, this represents a combined infrastructure investment of more than $31.3 million. Funding recipients are responsible for any additional project costs.
