The Government of Canada is committed to a renewed relationship with Indigenous Peoples based on the recognition of rights, respect, cooperation and partnership. Delivering on this commitment, the Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, the Honourable Bernadette Jordan and Coastal First Nations President (CFN) Chief Marilyn Slett, with representatives of CFN member nations, announced the signing of the amended CFN Fisheries Resources Reconciliation Agreement (FRRA).

Today, the Honourable Jim Carr, Minister and Special Representative for the Prairies, on behalf of the Honourable Catherine McKenna, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, and the Honourable Don McMorris, Saskatchewan’s Minister of Government Relations, announced more than $5.3 million in federal-provincial funding to improve the Town of Outlook’s potable water infrastructure. The project is funded under the Green Infrastructure stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.

Today, the Honourable François Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, announced more than $23 million in funding from the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) to advance 114 innovative research projects under the NRC’s Ideation Fund initiatives, Challenge programs and the Supercluster support programs.
