Today’s meeting was co-chaired by the federal Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Disability Inclusion, Carla Qualtrough and the Minister of Social Development for New Brunswick, Bruce Fitch.
Today, the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, announced $38.2 million to create 1,297 youth internship opportunities in the environmental and clean technology sectors. These internships will be offered in collaboration with environmental science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) employers across Canada for six- to twelve-month projects.
