The funded projects are expected to support more than 400 businesses, create or maintain up to 1150 jobs and maximize development and growth opportunities throughout the region.

$6.6 million in support of six strategic initiatives in the Kenora region. The funded projects are expected to support more than 400 businesses, help create or maintain up to 1155 jobs, and maximize development and growth opportunities throughout the region.

The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Member of Parliament for Ahuntsic-Cartierville, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages and Minister responsible for CED, accompanied by the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Member of Parliament for Saint Maurice–Champlain and Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, is announcing, during a visit to Trois Rivières, a total of $7,889,845 in financial support for the Ville de Trois-Rivières and the Gatineau-Ottawa Executive Airport.
The Government of Canada has provided a total of $518.3 million under the Canada Community-Building Fund (CCBF) to Quebec for the 2021‒22 fiscal year. In addition, the Government is providing a total of $495.7 million as a top-up, calculated based on 2020-21 CCBF allocations. The funding will be distributed by the Government of Quebec to approximately 1125 communities through the Quebec gas tax and contribution program (TECQ) for 2019-2023. CCBF allocations can also serve to fund public transit projects under the Quebec capital assistance program.
