A new study suggests Canada has vastly underestimated how many people have died from COVID-19 and says the number could be two times higher than reported.

The one-dose COVID-19 vaccine from Johnson & Johnson’s pharmaceutical division, Janssen, was heralded as an easy way to fully vaccinate Canadians. But after some problems at a U.S. manufacturing plant and cratering domestic demand for the product, there are now no plans to ship this vaccine to Canada.
The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade, will mark the one-year anniversary of the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement at a virtual event hosted by the Wilson Center.
