When ICU nurse Shawn Toovey isn’t caring for some of Saskatchewan’s sickest patients, he’s collecting scrap medical plastics, including medicine bottles, syringe covers and vaccine-vial caps, to make artwork. The ICU nurse uses art to relieve work-related stress after experiencing burn out a few years ago.
