Today, the Governments of Canada and New Brunswick announced 39 applied research projects under the Healthy Seniors Pilot Project. The projects aim to better support seniors in their homes, communities and care facilities while promoting healthy aging.

Canada’s economic recovery depends on young people being able to get good, well-paying jobs in the future. That is why the Government of Canada is continuing to take strong action to ensure that young Canadians have the supports they need to move forward from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and successfully plan for their careers.
An effective Blue Economy Strategy is one in which Canadians from coast to coast to coast will see themselves: ocean industries, innovators, environmental groups, indigenous and non-indigenous communities across the country. Over the past week, the Honourable Bernadette Jordan, Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard held roundtable discussions with leaders in some of these key sectors including the fisheries and aquaculture sectors, academia, and women leaders in ocean sectors to hear their suggestions on a successful blue economy strategy.
The Honourable Maryam Monsef, Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Rural Economic Development, and Chantal Rouleau, Minister responsible for Transport Quebec, highlighted their commitment to rehabilitate the Port of Forestville. Midway between Quebec City and Sept-Îles, the Port enables the transportation of goods throughout the region and offers a seasonal ferry service between the south shore and the north shore of the Saint Lawrence River.
