On December 2, 2020, Canadian Space Agency astronaut David Saint-Jacques will speak to students from Prospecteurs school in Murdochville and young people who go to La Sarre youth organization. The school and youth organization won this visit from an astronaut through the Junior Astronauts campaign. David Saint-Jacques will share his story, talk about his career as an astronaut, and answer their questions.

The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade, will kick off the CETA Business Summit by delivering remarks and speaking with 4 women exporters to discuss their stories of success as exporters to the EU. The summit is a 3-day virtual seminar for small businesses and entrepreneurs across Canada to learn about how exporting into the European market can help grow their businesses, thanks to the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
Statistics Canada says the economy grew at a record annualized pace of 40.5 per cent in the third quarter as businesses came out of COVID-19 lockdowns.
Today, the Honourable Mona Fortier, Minister of Middle Class Prosperity and Associate Minister of Finance, spoke with members of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce about proposed investments in Supporting Canadians and Fighting COVID-19: Fall Economic Statement 2020. During the meeting, Minister Fortier discussed how the government will continue to protect Canadians’ health, jobs, and the economy.
