New COVID-19 restrictions are expected to be unveiled in Ontario Friday after the province reported 1,418 new cases and eight more deaths. The new cases include 393 in Toronto, 400 in Peel Region and 168 in York Region. The province has now seen more than 100,000 confirmed cases of the illness since the first one was reported in late January.
